Workshop Manager/Administrator

C20 Motorcars, a renowned specialist in classic car restoration, servicing, fabrication, trimming, race support, and sales, is seeking a Workshop Manager/Administrator to join our dedicated team.

About Us

C20 Motorcars works on a wide range of vehicles spanning nearly a century, from 1901 to 1999. Our workshop provides high-quality restoration services, support for classic racing series, and more recently, classic car sales. We are located in a picturesque rural setting near Chichester, West Sussex.

Role Overview

As Workshop Manager/Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of our workshop and office operations. This varied and rewarding role combines administrative expertise with a love for classic cars.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Tasks:

    • Manage company emails and phone calls.
    • Plan the workshop diary and book vehicles in and out.
    • Liaise with customers and suppliers.
    • Process staff timesheets and assist with bookkeeping tasks.
  • Operational Support:

    • Order parts and ensure timely delivery.
    • Reconcile accounts and process invoices.
    • Pay suppliers and staff.
    • Organise the workforces time and manage efficiency 
  • Event Coordination:

    • Organise and book events, including classic race series support.
    • Assist in planning and attending events and shows.
  • Logistics:

    • Collect and deliver vehicles as needed.

Key Requirements

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Experience in administration, bookkeeping, and customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency with computers and accounting software.
  • A passion for classic cars and the automotive industry.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to your own vehicle (due to our rural location).

Working Hours

  • Condensed workweek: Tuesday to Friday, 7:00 am – 6:00 pm, with a 1-hour break spread throughout the day. Option to negotiate working hours for right candidate.

C20 Motorcars specializes in the restoration, maintenance, and race preparation of classic vehicles spanning nearly a century, from 1901 to 2000. Our skilled team of professionals is dedicated to preserving automotive history, working on a variety of iconic vehicles and race cars.

Role Overview

As a mechanic at C20 Motorcars, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team, collaborating with specialists in mechanics, trimming, engine building, and fabrication. You will have the opportunity to apply your expertise and craftsmanship to challenging and rewarding projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical repairs, maintenance, and full restorations on classic vehicles and race cars.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with precision.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop creative solutions for complex restoration challenges.
  • Deliver work to the highest standards of quality and attention to detail.
  • Work within project timelines to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a mechanic in the classic car restoration sector.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanics, engineering principles, and fabrication techniques.
